MEDACS II - Flow and Level Application #1

	A Dual Channel MEDACS can monitor "overflow to storm" in a Storm Sewer Overflow (SSO).

A level controller provides 4-20mA proportional to level, which is then split into two 4-20mA spans, one proportional to level, the second proportional to head at the overflow point. Should the pumps be unable to clear the level, it overflows to a storm drain via a V notch weir, whereby the flow is monitored by span 2 and converted to flow by the onboard flow law. This data can then be recorded.
