	Accurate measurement of flow over a wide flow range can be problematical due to the turndown of the flowmeter providing inaccurate measurement at extremes of span.

A two channel MEDACS can take the inputs from two correctly sized flowmeters, and by using a TFML function can select the most appropriate instrument for the conditions, signaling a changeover valve to divert flow to the selected instrument. AS continuous 4-20mA output proportional to flow is maintained by the MEDACS.
